Weeping may endure for a night,
but joy cometh in the morning.

How often do we come to a point in our lives when we are comfortable and confident in our relationship with Christ? We go forward for a time serving and learning. Inevitably a trial will come that will test our knowledge. We may question our trust in the reality of the Lord. At these times we realize that our testimony is never stagnant. Trials provide an opportunity for us to seek the Savior. As we prove Him, we gain more understanding and knowledge.

Do we recognize the voice of the Lord? We can prepare to hear His voice by reading our scriptures, remembering to pray, keeping the commandments and attending the temple. But even when we are regularly doing these things there will be times when our faith is tried. We will plead for a greater understanding. And perhaps as Mary did, we will weep. It is at such times, when we are downtrodden enough to find ourselves humbly pleading, as Mary was, that we will recognize the voice of the Savior. Our understanding will be increased, and we will be led out of the darkness into light. Then we will celebrate with great joy in praise of the Lord. He will know when we are ready for the lesson because He knows our hearts.
Through every trial our faith is tested. Sometimes faith precedes the miracle. Other times we must have faith to trust in God's will.

~Sometime today find a way to seek the Lord. Find in Christ the answers you long for. Dare to reach a new level of understanding.
